I like fairy tale revisions by Scieszka, but I prefer his original mayhem. He's just epic.

The story is funny and engaging of course, but there is a lot of classic 90s misogyny.

This was a cute epilogue for the frog prince fairy tale. I lived the appearance of different witches from different stories.

Love this! Fun story and art! The allusions to the other fairy tales are nice twists and the ending is unexpected :)
Also, one of my assignments in class is to write a sequel to a picture book, so this would be a great example for my students.

This is my second favorite from Jon Scieszka. My daughters and I love to use the clues to guess the witches. It is also a wonderful story about what makes us truly happy and about being ourselves.

The Frog Prnce is feeling resltess in his life as a man. He seeks out witches who will turn him back into a frog. He encounters the magic of several fairytales, narrowly escaping. In the end, he and the princess live happily ever after, again. Illustrations are dark.
