This was a good summer read. I read it in about 6-7 hours on a train and it kept me entertained. The movie is based on the book, but the book is different enough to still be worth reading after seeing the movie. It's not the best-written chick-lit, but Ahern was just 21 when she wrote it. P.S. I love you still is fairly predictable, but enjoyable enough.
I really liked the movie that was made from this book last year, and the book was even more enjoyable (and bonus, no Hillary Swank!)

I think it's been about a decade since I first read this book and I can honestly say I didn't remember how different the storyline was from the movie. I adore the movie and I have to admit it surprisingly took awhile for the book to win me over. That being said, I was quite emotional through at least the last hour of the book and loved how it ended. What a beautiful story of grief and love. Holly is a complex character trying to get over the death of her soul mate and I love how her friends and family stood by her. How she began to see people in a more caring light - especially her brother Richard. This book was full of a wide range of emotion and I cannot wait to dig into the sequel.

This had to be the first time I loved the movie better than the book. It wasn't just because Gerard Butler played in the movie either lol. Certain chapters just seemed to stretch on and on. Others seemed too crazy to believe possible. I expected so much more from this book but only found disappointment.
