This is the second book that I've read by Ahern, the first being "Love, Rosie." And at first, I thought this book wasn't going to be as good. However, once Holly begins to open Gerry's letters, you begin to see her journey towards happiness and a life. The character growth in this story is amazing, and no one in this story does what you would expect them to. Is it the most realistic story about a widow? No. But, it's still a good read.

This is the first time EVER that I love the movie so much more that I don't want the book to change those feelings. I'm sure it's a great book, but I'm just having such strong feelings about not continuing forward.

This book is way better than the movie for one. The story matter is definitely depressing, but is humorous in the way the writer tells the story of how the death is handled by all of the characters. I love the letters he writes her and how they help her to move on and not dwell on his death ... just like what he wants her to do. It is a great story and the characters are amazing.
PS, I Love You Obviously this is a book about overcoming the loss of a loved one. Herein, you will find Holly mourning for her late husband. A LOT. I found it repetitive during the later half of the book, but was rewarded with a book that is what is advertised: a funny, tearful adventure about Holly after Gerry.

I love this book! She is in such a sad situation but she works through it and I was hopeful that she would learn to love again.
I thought this book had a great story, but wasn't as well written as I would have hoped. Not that it's bad - just not great.
Overall, a good read.
