I think this may be the first time that I liked the movie better. Still a good chick lit read. :)
Beautifully written. Raw and heartbreaking but at the same time fun and endearing.
This book is so romantic. It's so heartbreaking in some parts but the main parts of the story are looking at good points. I'm so glad I read this book before seeing the film because I wasn't too keen on the film really
I first read this book when I was about 12 years old, in my school library and I distinctly remember trying to stifle the sound of my obnoxious crying. I was really affected by it, comically so, seeing as I'd never experienced any kind of romantic feelings towards anyone that I knew in real life (I still haven't at 18 years old but you know), my crushes at the time consisted of Ricky from The Secret Life of an American Teenager and Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan from One Direction.
This being said, it was the first books which made me deeply sympathise and feel for a character. Probably the start for my true love of reading, being the first novel I ever devoured in less than two days I believe (I'm not counting the Geronimo Stilton books as true novels because there were a lot of pictures and the funky lettering and fonts made it easy to read quickly because it took up more space).
I haven't re-read it since but I remember it fondly and I would recommend it :)

This book left me in tears with its sweetness. I also loved how it was realistic and how it wasn't overly predictable. For example, I was sure Daniel and Holly would end up together by the time I was nearing the end of the book, but they didn't. I had totally forgotten about Rob, so when he turned up, I was surprised. I was happy about that - predictable romances can get irritating.
Well-written. I can't believe the author was young, single, and inexperienced when she wrote this novel. On occasion, the plot is a bit slow.
This is my second time reading this book. I read this book for the first time when it came out in 2004. At the time I liked it, but my life experience didn’t allow me to fully grasp how beautiful this story truly is. Cecelia Ahern masterfully captured all the stages of grief and sculpted a main character who could could endure each stage and come out the other side not just strong, but real. Life is beautiful, cruel, surprising, tragic, and a gift. All of these elements are captured in this story. I can’t wait to read the sequel “Postscript.”
