SUCH AN AMAZING BOOK! I would like to say though, I expected a better ending. Don’t get me wrong the ending is just fine, but i’m a sucker for heartbreaking endings. I love the representation in the book, and I learned a lot about Mormonism and homosexuality. Totally would recommend.

As someone who read so many Christina Lauren books, I'm so surprised I haven't picked this book up yet! To be honest, I wasn't planning on it, but I bought this book during a book crawl & had to read for pride month!! This book feels so nostalgic for some reason in a way. I read YA books that felt so similar in some ways. This book is about the fear of being queer in a religious mormon town. Felt relatable in a way, even if I'm not queer myself, because I understand the fear of doing anything that is considered "bad" growing up as a Christian. But loved reading about the pure love been Tanner & Sebastian. Loved reading about the community and support Tanner had with his friends and family. I wish Christina Lauren wrote more YA because this was good!

“I don’t actually care if you break my heart, Sebastian. I went into this knowing it could happen and I gave it to you anyway. But I don’t want you to break your own. You have so much space in your heart for your church, but does it have space for you?”

I wish I could give this book more stars. 😭😭😭

I’m giving this book 2.5/5 stars.
It was very dramatic and full of angst, it had good aspects but also lots of aspects that bothered me.
I like the representation in this book and some of the important topics that got discussed like religion and sexuality.
