EEEEE I LOVEEEEE

This book! It's been a while since I gave a contemporary 5 stars a it's so good to find one that deserves it and many more, seriously Autoboyography is unique and has such a fresh feel and voice I know some things about LDS (latter day saints) because my friends family were LDS but not much at all and this book really did it's research.

The characters made my heart happy, Tanner is seriously fighting Simon (from simon Vs) in my fave male character and the best son and friend section. FAMILY SUPPORTIVE FAMILY CUTE ASS FAMILY I LOVE IT.

There's also a darker side to the family, to be rejected from your family if you come out to them, and what comes with your family rejecting you, the depression, the aftermath and it hurts but i like that this book didn't shy away from that even if it was about Tanners Aunt and her experiences.

The way the stories layed out, layered under Tanners actual work of fiction for class, geeez I liked that a lot.

I'm not going to say much plot wise that the sysnopsis doesn't but I do highly recommend this be on everyones TBR <3 <3

Gorgeous. One of the best parts was definitely the quote at the beginning by Lin-Manuel Miranda

I absolutely loved watching Tanner and Sebastian fall in love. Their journey was heartfelt and had such an outstanding premise. There was amazing LGBTQ+ representation as it showed Sebastian’s struggle with his family’s acceptance, and Tanner being out to his family and proud of his bisexuality with them.

I loved that Tanner and Autumn’s relationship was so realistic, and well written. The of one-sided feelings, choosing lovers over best friends and supporting them no matter what, were all very true to what teenage relationships are like today.

Sebastian’s struggle with his sexuality and religion I felt related to so many people in this world today. I felt that the authors flushed out just how horrible it can be not to have accepting parents. I think that it hit the topic of religion going against the LGBTQ+ community very well and brought the attention to it in their story.

Lastly, I just wanted to talk about how clever it was Tanner was writing a book, and it was revealed within the story that we were essentially reading his book. I thought that was an amazing add on that took a turn in a different direction from other books I have read about characters writing books.
