Many feelings, but to keep it brief:
The writing is great. The characters are great. I was just very bored. If the prospect of speaking with non-anthropomorphic animals and mind-melding with them intrigues you, do not let my low rating dissuade you.
Leisurely-paced, adventurous. Tone a bit removed, which adds a legendary feel.

Probably my least favorite book of the series, but I still really enjoy it!

Decent. Some funny moments that I hadn't read in a while.

An excellent addition to the "Immortals" series. Daine is such an engaging heroine and I loved reading a story where she is more in control of her powers. Her relationship with the wolves was fantastic, and I liked how her new abilities led to different, closer bonds with her animal friends. Numair, despite being offscreen for a lot of it, was fantastic as usual and I think I enjoyed the plot of "Wolf-Speaker" even more than "Wild Magic", emphasising the need to preserve the nature which surrounds and sustains us. I can't wait to get started on the next one!

Thank you Netgalley for giving me an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

I loved how Daine progresses in this book and how we get a new perspective on the "bad" Immortals. The book felt a bit more cohesive than the first one and I liked all the new characters we got!

why do all my childhood reads go full "protect nature" at some point
