I'm the world's worst graphic novel reader. I STILL have problems telling characters apparent, even when objectively speaking they look nothing alike. I think having seen the movie made it worse, because I kept forgetting what the characters looked like in the book and instead remembering a mix of the book/movie faces so that nothing looked familiar.

So I don't think I'm a fair reviewer. It was OK, although a bit confusing since I couldn't tell any of the kids apart, except for the invisible one.

4.5/5 ⭐️

Much better than the previous Graphic Novel I read!

Really enjoyed this one and am going to be picking up the last 2 books in the actually book series.

The art style in this was very interesting, I loved the B&W as well as the coloured tones throughout.

Also, can somebody just give me the movie already?! I really need to see it like NOW

I did not read the book before the graphic novel and i felt i was missing a bunch! Nothing was well developed and I had a hard tine following along.

All I can say is that the monsters are creepy as hell in these drawings.

I absolutely love Cassandra Jean's art (discovered her through a Shadowhunter Tumblr account) and this graphic novel is a lovely showcase of her talent . . . plus it gives visuals to what I had in my head when I was reading the book it is adapted from, which is always very awesome.

I read this because I genuinely couldn't read the book! Maybe I'll try the book again now though because I did enjoy the story!

I read this really quickly. Like, in under an hour. It helped that I've seen the movie.

Such a lovely story. I haven't read the novels, but I will be soon!
