This is a collection of non-fiction essays written by Sophie that cover grief, loss, depression, mental health, motherhood.
Strangely, I found some of the darkest parts of this book the most comforting. It won't be for the faint of heart - but if you listen to Sophie regularly on a podcast or follow her, you'll be well able for it.
I remember my mother in law once giving me a big carving knife and I was sweating waiting for her to leave because I did not want that thing under the same roof as my children. I remember being absolutely terrified of my own Grandmother before she died. It's oddly comforting to know that those aren't unique experiences.
