i hated this book IMMENSELY. i almost dnf it, but decided to continue reading it only to see if noah got his wake up call. i will give emery lee his flowers for being able to channel an insufferable, selfish teenage boy.

but, i did not like how drew all of a sudden turned into some bad guy, just so devin can be the new person in noah’s life. i really enjoyed drew, plus i didn’t like how becca tried to do the whole “i knew this whole time he was going to turn out to be a dick” thing, because i genuinely think that if that was the case, she would’ve said something.

it really seemed emery lee was just bored of writing and needed a way to move it along, wasn’t thought out great or very well developed. overall, would not recommend this book unless you are 15 years old, which i am not.

Loved the rep in this! But really struggled with the internal logic of “saving the blog” as such a major decision-driver. I’m such a sucker for an unlikable protagonist too, but I feel like Noah was missing the sharpness and eventual growth to make that work.

I ended up enjoying this more than I thought I would and that’s mostly because of Devin. I also loved the rep in this book. It was a good summer read

This book was really cute! I'm obsessed with Devin, he is by far my favourite character in this book. I'm not gonna lie, I found Noah very annoying which made it hard to get into. The last 3rd of the story is really what saved this book for me

I liked this book more than I did when I started it, but not enough to give it a five. The MC isn't very likable, though I understood where he was coming from at points. However, the changes in pronouns were perfect, and Devin was the shining light in the book. In a way, I wonder if e could have done better than Noah.

This one was pretty cute, I related to some of the characters and I loved that. Not my favorite book of the year but a good one nevertheless

I know main characters don't have to be likeable but hell is Noah unlikeable. I also felt like a lot of the characters would flip flop their feelings kind of randomly. I don't know. I didn't hate it but I definitely didn't love it.

I did like Noah and Devin's relationship, though! It felt really natural. And I suppose I'll give this book props for a switcheroo which I wouldn't have expected from YA romance.
