Finally, i read the second book of the ACOTAR series. It didn't take me this long because I didn't want to, but because it was hard to actually find the sequels in my local bookstores...
I give this one 4 Stars, and it would be 3.5 if I didn't gloss over some of the issues with characters and...certain...powers (Feyre, for example. She's hilariously overpowered).
But I'm going to, since it was such an enjoyable read for me!!
I tore through this one, despite my usual big book fear, and it didn't feel long at all with its fast pacing. The characters that were introduced (Morrigan, Azriel, Cassian, Amren, etc.) really grew on me, and I loved the relationships with Feyre that developed throughout the book, and the ones they already had. Rhysand was great. Tamlin I didn't like from the start anyways (much too bland for me), and so I didn't really struggle when it became clear that Feyre and Rhysand would end up together. Despite this, I hoped they'd take everything a bit slower - i do love a slow burn, and the tension and teasing between them was the best part of them for me.
That Tamlin would work with the king of Hybern I'd suspected, that Nesta and Elain would become faeries, I didn't. I do hope they now become more involved in the story, since I really like their characters (especially Nesta). Elain being the mate of Lucien was a very cool plottwist.
All in all, i think this is a good second book in the series, and am very excited for the third book, and what challenges Feyre will have to face now that she is back in the spring court (this time, as a spy!)
