There’s a lot of unnecessary sex that doesn’t add to the story line or character profiles. Just sex for sex and that’s not what I read a romantasy for.

This series keeps getting better and better. I adored the addition of Gabriel’s point of view and what a HEARTACHE of a cliff hanger!

I won’t lie, I didn’t read the last 10% of this and instead I just watched some spoiler videos to see what happened. This book took whatever interest I had in the characters and smushed it. It was very boring and the chemistry was zapped away. Felt too derivative and I genuinely couldn’t care less what happens next or if any of the characters die.

I don't know if it's the characters or just the voice actors but Lor and Nadir are grating on my nerves. How can they be so clueless and aimless the whole time. Lor is so whiny and everything is happening to her, instead of her taking action and coming into her power - which is usually defining a strong fmc. Next to characters like Aelin, Feyre, Jude or Auren she's just weak. Really hoping for some character development in the final part. And Nadir too doesn't have the lure of a strong mmc. The chemistry was there but the transition from enemies to lovers was too rushed. They go from hating each other to 'I'll do anything for you' in a heartbeat. And the whole book felt like travelling and talking and nothing much happening except the last chapters. But then the events were so messy I couldn't keep up with what was happening. Also the nickname for Lor? Lightning bug? Bffr.
