A series standout. Whilst not packed with the nostalgia of the first book this entry certainly has its own charm. I think this is the first book where I generally like all of the characters and I think that has to do with the way that Belly has grown as a character and the writing has changed to reflect that perspective. I really liked how the growth and change in the characters felt organic and realistic to each of them. As a reader we could see the problems coming, and although predictable the pay-off was satisfying.

I can certainly see how Amazon is now going to adapt the ending into its own movie considering the rather scant flash forward.

I probably would only read this again in preparation for the film release, and even if doing a series re-read I would skip the middle book.

The first book was pretty cute, but the final one was sooo hard for me to finish. The characters were insufferable. I know they’re teenagers, but this just felt so forced and awkward.

I read through all of these on my Vegas flights, thanks EP lol. Again a quick easy fun read! I’m glad Belly has time to grow up and grow into her own person and what she wants 🩷
