So I started this series all the way back with Johnny and Claire, and I loved their book. The emotional aspect of their book and their connection was perfection. It lacked a little in the mafia plotline for my taste, but then we got so much more of that with Luna's duet with her men. I loved the addition of the why choose and that we got more mafia plot lines. But I felt that duet was too long with too much miscommunication going on that was just irritating, and too much inner monologue.

Now enter this book, which completely lacked any of the emotional aspect of the first book, even more inner monologue than the duet, and then add a completely disjointed connection with the characters and a weird flow of plot.

First, I found it hard to connect with Cora. I found her kind of obnoxious. While she has had a hard time and a hard past, she just seemed whiney and whoa is me while "pretending" to be strong. Claire and Luna had way more strength and resolve and ambition. I did not like how the why choose formed. It was disjointed, I felt like they tried to have the men connect but it just felt forced and weird. I felt like there was never a full conversation about how everyone felt, and clearly Miller had more reservations and even said so at one point but he was just like but I guess if you're ok with it I have to be, and everyone just moved on.

I liked the male characters as individuals but put them together and it was just weird. I feel like we were trying to copy kinda the personalities of past men in the series rather than whole new characters. Miller to me was the only one that was separate and new. And I loved him. But I hated that I felt like he was the most hesitant for the why choose and no one really listened to him or really made sure he was ok with it.

The spice was good. But again for a why choose, very disjointed. No conversations beforehand really about what everyone was ok with except when it came to the group sex convo. And then, I feel like the TVP was added just for shock value and then also to like one up or stay even with June rather than it happening organically.

In the end. The series as a whole isn't bad. Johnny and Claire's book is the best. Luna's duet is good. This was skippable

ARC REVIEW

Ruin my life ??? More like YOU ruin my life

I really wanted to give this book a better rating but it was way to similar to untamed vixen just a tiny different twist. Also there was such a build up of what was gonna happen to the bad guy to be disappointed with the outcome. Definitely wasn't one of my favs but keeps you entertained.

ARC Review : I knew I wanted Cora to have her own story, I just didn't know I needed it this bad. It's so much more then I ever expected, it's DARK, it is Tragically Beautiful. Luna went beyond anything I could have imagined for Cora. Check the triggers because it's not all rainbows and sunshine in parts but if you can handle them, I highly recommend diving into Cora's life. The twist and turns are absolutely worth it.

Cora's story was very emotional. She is a people pleaser with hidden scars. She has never shared it with anyone. And when she finally has had enough, she unleashes her inner demon. She does this with the help of 3 wonderful men: Alec, whom she has had a crush on for so long. Silver, a moment of lust that becomes love and Miller, also an old crush. I completely understand Silver and Alec's relationships. Miller's too, but I think this remained a bit superficial. You get snippets from their history: Miller is obsessed and has stalked her for almost 2 years. I would like to read some more background on this.

The spicy scenes with the men alone are good, but there are not that many of them. I didn't like the joint scenes. It was just about the same thing over and over and was a bit cringe.

But I really enjoyed this story. And I'm looking forward to the next book!
