I was invested from the start of this book! It starts off with a steamy dream and a deal with a scary gangster within just the first 2 chapters. Luna definitely knows how to get you interested in a story. This is my first of her books but I’ve had the Sinners and Angels series in my tbr forever so I’m definitely going to be reading that soon. I like Cora but if she would have asked for help in the beginning then this all would have been so much easier for her, so she’s stubborn and just a little dumb. All of her men are great but Miller is definitely my favorite. There are many cameos of June and her men and I can’t wait to read their books as well. I also really like London and I can’t wait for her book!

The darker content in the one was little too much for me, to the point where I couldn’t really enjoy the romance parts. Also… I dunno, it started to feel a little formulaic, FMC (Cora) goes to one of the MMC’s (Miller, Alec, Silver) houses, they fuck, rinse, repeat. Also was getting a little frustrated with the FMC, is she in a really rough situation? Yes, but she A) will not ask for help from people who could actually help her
*cough* June *cough*
, and B) takes her feelings about her situation out on people. I am not expecting anyone in Cora’s situation to be perfect, I just feel like her refusal to use what was at her disposal was dragged out a bit. Maybe I’ll come back to this one, I love poly romances, but you really need to be prepared for some graphic, potentially triggering shit. The “Dead Reader” section in the beginning of the book contains full content warnings, the author did a very good job of mapping them out.  There is a link to a webpage that is supposed to have locations of triggering content, but that page isn”t updated with the locations for Ruin My Life.

Spoilery Side Note:
The part where Miller busted up into Ricardo’s house with a gun to come collect Cora and London took me out tho that was hilarious! …Until the girls then had to go back and let Ricardo beat them…

I love Cora!!! She is an absolute bad a$$!! I was hoping she would get her own story and this did not disappoint!!! She’s amazing and her men 🫠 the three of them are so different and they work so well together. Loved the dynamics between everyone and how this all played out!

Emotional amazing read

It seems like everything that Luna Pierce puts out just hits correctly and is amazing. Ruin My Life was no exception. I loved reading about Cora and her men and the strength she was gaining as her story went on. It was an emotional, sexy, and sweet read that I will forever recommend to readers that love dark and why choose stories.

Cora's story was very emotional. She is a people pleaser with hidden scars. She has never shared it with anyone. And when she finally has had enough, she unleashes her inner demon. She does this with the help of 3 wonderful men: Alec, whom she has had a crush on for so long. Silver, a moment of lust that becomes love and Miller, also an old crush. I completely understand Silver and Alec's relationships. Miller's too, but I think this remained a bit superficial. You get snippets from their history: Miller is obsessed and has stalked her for almost 2 years. I would like to read some more background on this.

The spicy scenes with the men alone are good, but there are not that many of them. I didn't like the joint scenes. It was just about the same thing over and over and was a bit cringe.

But I really enjoyed this story. And I'm looking forward to the next book!

This is part of the Sinners & Angels Universe. We get June’s best friend, Cora’s story.

Cora ends up being leverage for her father, and is sold to be married to the disgusting Ricardo. Cora thinks she can handle this on her own. June’s driver, Alec, who has had a crush on Cora (but she’s also forbidden because she’s June’s best friend) notices a change in her demeanor. One thing leads to another and Cora finds herself surrounded by three men (Alec, Miller, and Silver).

It was a fun and wild ride to watch Cora become this independent and self assured woman, The woman she becomes navigating her life with three men, and of course tackling the mafia and men that surround it.

I'm not a mafia romance girly. However this was a well done enjoyable book. The MMCs each had unique personalities while being in the same line of work for a lack of bad words. I did feel like it was a little bit rushed at the end and a little bit anticlimactic. The relationships and it were great. And there was a lot of character building for the FMC. I will plan to read another Luna Pierce book in the future.
