Brilliant and darkly comic thriller/romance, featuring a wealthy and glamorous socialite and a true crime podcaster/author.
Saffy has a strong moral code. She is fiercely loyal to her younger sister, and she only murders bad men.
When a true crime podcaster catches her eye for the right reasons, she uses her many skills to orchestrate a series of meet-cutes. Unfortunately, he isn't over his ex, who is divorcing him because of his fixation with murder. Not a problem for Saffy since she is a serial killer after all and really takes pride in her work.
A great read with fab love/hate characters. Even Saffy is relatable as a gorgeous and brilliant woman at the top of her game who still finds mediocre men getting all the credit.

This is easily one of my favourite reads of the year!
It’s thrilling, darkly humorous & utterly binge-worthy! An interesting & gripping mash between a romcom & a thriller that I just adored.
My favourite thing about this book was the fact that by the end of the epilogue I just couldn't help but think "well played Saffy" because everything just unravelled so perfectly.
A wonderful 5 star read that should be on everyone’s TBR this summer!
Thank you NetGalley & Zaffree Books for the ARC.

I'm giving this high marks in pure enjoyment! This was wickedly fun and the pacing was terrific; I couldn't put the book down.
That said, I think the marketing blurb is misleading. Saffy Huntley-Oliver isn't a Robinhood-style vigilante who wants to do good in the world by brutally murdering bad men. She's a bored rich heiress (and she came into her money, in part, because of one of her past murders) who likes to off bad men when the feeling strikes her. She's definitely more like Taylor Swift on that "Vigilante Sh*t" — Saffy's out here for murderous fun. She's definitely delulu and a schemer. The book isn't a feminist commentary at all, beyond the obvious that Saffy has a penchant for offing abusers, sexual offenders, seedy politicians, etc.
While the book provides glimpses into some of Saffy's most memorable murders, this is actually a story about Saffy's elaborate scheme to capture the heart of Jonathan Desroisers, a true crime podcaster. For a woman so focused on disposing of gross, creepy men, it's a disconnect that then this novel focuses almost entirely on her quest to land a romantic interest.
But I had so much FUN reading it. The story alternates between Saffy and Jonathan's POVs, and it kept me turning the pages. I would have liked to see more of Saffy's motivations and her backstory.
The pacing was wicked fast and I appreciated how it came together at the end. This books reminds me of Stone Cold Fox by Rachel Koller Croft but with more murder. Saffy's not really about finding justice; she's more about a good, satisfying scheme. Good, bloody beach read!

3.5 stars - a fun, albeit predictable romp, thoroughly enjoyable.
This was annoying. The title, the cover, the premise made it seem like she was the lead character but she was kind of a side character in her own book. John was boring and barely likable. Just a wimpy character. And I think the end and her actions were supposed to be some twist but was just like “yeah, and….”
