Oh my gosh, I'm so happy with this book! With the end of Spirit Bound, I was so worried about Rose being in prison, because I felt like there were SO many loose ends that needed to be tied off, and Rose being in prison was a huge NO! But I realized that the whole series was organized differently than any of the other books I've read, and it was interesting the way she did it... but I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about it. I feel like topics that were brought up in earlier books that seemed like they were going to be SO SIGNIFICANT turned out to be a lot more minor, and there were still a couple of loose ends, but it was a unique way to write the series, and I commend Richelle for that. I would have liked more resolution on Adrian and Jill and Sydney and Sonya and others (because HOW CAN YOU LEAVE ADRIAN SO HEARTBROKEN?!) but I guess that's what we have Bloodlines for... and I'm so excited to read them now! I'm so glad that there's another series, because Richelle writes her characters beautifully and I've fallen so much in love with every single one of them. I think this was my favorite one of all the books!

It was just AMAZING i just love the ending. it's a perfect ending for a perfect series!
So, several years of reading my way through this series has finally come to an end.
I have a lot to say about this book. Ultimately I enjoyed it, but think I grew out of this 'younger' style of YA so my enjoyment of this final book in the Vampire Academy series was hampered.
I found myself actually annoyed with Rose quite a bit in this book - more to come on that later.
I wished I'd loved it more, it was a good ending overall but there were a few things that stuck out for me.
Full review to come.

I don't know, it was just... okay. A lot of convoluted threads to follow that wrapped up neatly, tied with a pretty now.
I loved this series. I seem to always find these heroines who I want to shake some sense into, rather hard. But Rose really matures along the way, especially after her trials in Russia, and while I still don't fundamentally understand people who are that brave and impulsive and physical, I do love to read about them all the same.
the secondary characters were delightful, too. Dmitri. How do I even. And I loved Abe. Every scene with Abe were my favorites. Even Jill, who reminded me so much of some of the Potentials in the last season of Buffy.
I hope the film does this series justice and I'm looking forward to following Sydney around in Bloodlines.

Just as the others, I loved this book. Sad to see the series end though. This is my new favorite series!
