I can't believe this seres is over, and that it took me so long to actually finish it.
I was so great, in the end I was more invested in the story than in the characters, but ultimately it was everything I could have wished for. The ending leaves a lot of questions unanswered, that I guess lead to the Bloodlines series, which I don't know if I will have enough time to read. But giving an end to a series that I have been invested in -though my interest was a little subdued for a while- has been amazing and Richelle Mead's way to build stories is utterly outstanding. Rose is a great character to be in the head of, and although the way she sometimes jumped from being very immature to being very seriously mature seemed a little bit unrealistic, made it even more real because none of us have 24/7 coherent personality; and the way she was always disposed to risk everything for their friends -although in the end her actions and their colateral damaged fucked them even more- was very laudable.
5/5 stars, a great action-packed end of an amazing series.

I didn’t like this one quite as much but you know it was the last one so it still had an impact. Can’t wait to read bloodlines

Good book. Sad about Tasha. But overall the book was good. Very happy about Sonya. Would liked to have known what happened to Eddie.

This is it. Rose is jailed and awaiting her trial for murdering the Queen. Dimitri won't talk with her and Lissa isn't allowed to see her. Then Rose is busted out. Now she and Dimitri, along with Sydney, are on the run. While they're gone, Lissa, Christian, Adrian, and Abe investigate who killed the queen and framed Rose. The elections for a new monarch are beginning as well and Lissa's been nominated. She needs family in order to become queen and that's Rose's mission. She's been told there's another Dragomir.

Politics have never been murkier and Rose and Lissa put their lives in danger for each other once again.

Si! Estoy llorando!

I was sad to see this series end, but I thought that this final installment was a satisfying finale. I was honestly not happy with the way one of the major relationships in the book ended - but, after thinking about it, I realized that it was probably a more realistic end than having all of the characters move on to an easy happily ever after. This book, like the others in the series, had many twists and turns - some of which I saw coming and others that I didn't (at least not until just before they happened). I felt like Mead stayed true to her characters (even to some of their less desirable characteristics that I would have preferred to see go away) and I also felt that she wrapped up most of the storylines in a satisfying way, so I was happy. I sometimes end up feeling let down at the end of a series, so I was glad to end this series on a positive note!

From day one I opened the first book of the saga I was a sworn Rose and Dimitri shipper. That was very long time ago. Maybe it's the difference in being a teen and an adult or maybe for some other unknown to me reasons I simply cannot give five starts to final book. The whole plot of it was just so strange, especially the confrontation in the court. It just sounded too unreal. But this book did have an amazing part in it and it was last dialogue of Rose and Adrian. It was real and it was powerful. And no romantic love swearing scenes between Rose and Dimitri will overshine it for me. I do love Dimitri and I will always will but I truly believe Rose should have chosen Adrian as her forever. Sync or no sync he was the man that truly stood out from the crowd.
