The definitive account of the first successful summit of mount Everest, by the expedition leader John Hunt. Contains a lot of very technical details that are often hard to follow, but still a compelling account. Learned a lot about the details of what it takes to launch such an expedition, especially with the equipment they had then. A lot more effort and people went into this mission than most people know. It wasn't just two guys on a mountain. A definite must-read for Everest fans.

I really like the comedy in the dialogue that Kate Jacobs provides. It makes for a great read and an entertaining peek at cooking TV.
