Perfect conclusion, even though it ended up not being the final one.
In this book they go to Nihon-Ja, which is a Japanese-inspired fictional country. I really liked that they were all traveling again and the individual adventures they got into. However, most of the book was going over strategies for the civil war they are helping with in the country and that took away the charm of the work the Rangers usually do.

I have to say this was my least favorite book in the series but it was a great book none the less. I guess I disliked that it focused less on the rangers in this book and the whole rangers concept is what really drew me to this series. Although Flanagan once again was able to meld a new culture into this book series without a flaw in the story telling.
Long Story short? I. Freakin'. Loved. This. Book.
Everything about it.
At first it wasn't NON-STOP action, but it was still fast paced, fun, and intense. In this book not only do you meet amazing new characters, but (almost) all of your old friends are back, for The Final Battle.
I just ADORE how Flanagan artfully merges all of these characters, personalities, countries, and villains, for a phenomenal finish.
I love how in-depth he goes into all of the characters, yes, but most importantly, the obvious research put into the different countries and their customs.
John Flanagan is an amazing author, right up their with Rowling and Riordan. (Yes, I just said that!) And I would recommend this absolutely INCREDIBLE series to any and everyone.
I don't know what I'll do now that it's over, but, I'll tell you this much, Flanagan didn't let this series end without a bang.
I'm 15, and I HIGHLY recommend this series.

Okay, I'll admit that I complained for most of this book (sorry Kevin) but the ending was so hilarious that it totally made up for the fact that it took nine books and 393 pages for my brotp to stop hating each other.
