As a romance enjoyer who is heartbreakingly in love with the enemies-to-lovers trope with "who did this to you?" and "he fell first and fell harder" kind of plot, I REALLY LOVE THIS BOOK!!
Actually, it's the third book of the Twisted Series. But, I haven't read the first and second books yet hehe. I did fall in love with this book because of its cover. IT'S SO PRETTY ISN'T?!?!?! I read the synopsis and.. i fell in love with it hehe. So, Twisted Hate is telling about Josh & Jules's stories. They were enemies for like seven years. In the freshman of college, Josh found that Ava--his sister-- was friends with Jules--the one that he saw as a menace to his sister. Day after day, the two are always bickering and want to kill each other.
Until the day when they should be able to work together. They decided to make a truce in that they could work peacefully. But, day after a truce, the universe always got them together. One time, they got into a big quarrel that changed their life forever.
Personally, I really like this book because it's so realistic. No billionaire kinda things. I could say this book is the realistic one. Besides talking about Josh & Jules's stories, this book also tells about Jules and Josh's past traumas that haunt them forever. I really love the way Jules and Josh developed and healed from their traumas. I do love the way they see the world through their lens.
WARNING⚠️‼️This book is for those who above 21+!!! This book contains some sensitive topics that may not be comfortable for some readers.
I give this book 4/5 ⭐ I do really love this story! But, I couldn't give it a full 5 ⭐ because for some reason, I really hate Josh in Chapter 46 🙄

i absolutely adored josh and jules and this was the book i was looking forward to the most out of this series! i have never read a enemies with benefits type trope before and i’m OBSESSED i literally need more right now because the hate se❌ in here was god TIER! the only reason this didn’t get 5⭐️ was because i thought it was a little too long it felt like near the 350pg mark the rest of the story was dragged out. BUT i’m a true josh chen defender now because
My Rating: 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This one wasn't awful.... I skipped over the second book in this series because I really hadn't gotten attached to Bridget or Rhys in the first book... they weren't interesting to me. SOOOO we land on Jules and Josh. I knew it would be cute and I was hoping it didn't follow the same theme as [b:Twisted Love|55817097|Twisted Love (Twisted, #1)|Ana Huang|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1618487915l/55817097._SY75_.jpg|87027623].
I'll admit I liked this book much more than the first one. Their banter was great - more so, I loved Josh's personality. His use of the word "fuck" and "motherfucker" was perfectly timed and fucking hilarious. I enjoyed Jules NOT being blond and weak but also had some vulnerability. I loved Josh not so clean cut "bro" personality in this book - He got kinda filthy and his cockiness was entertaining.
That's all I can kinda say about it. Let me be clear... there is nothing wrong with this series. I said it in my previous review that 95% of people will LOVE these books. There is a new plot with every couple, and some decent smut. These just aren't for me or what I'm into. I can appreciate a teeny underlying plot that ties this book and the next together.
I think for this series - its a tiny bit repetitive in the sense that there is a format for this series - so if you've read one, you kind of know how this book is going to go, what is different is the bits of backstories for the characters and their insecurities, issues, problems, fears etc - so you're finding about each person if you care but the "stories" are the same if that makes sense??
I really want to say more. I really wanted to like these books. They aren't bad!! I don't know how else to reiterate it. I swear they aren't - they aren't my cup of tea. - fuck... now I feel bad.
