Charming

This is a sweet, erotic love story with characters I can care about. I loved it and look forward to more stories from this author.

There is so much in this book that I fell in love with. It's relatable, it's emotional, it's incredible.
For years, I have struggled to put my feelings into words and packaged them up in a neat and tiddy box. JA Armstrong and her Whiskey Springs series not only completely destroyed that box, but shapes the fragments into reality, helping me to come to terms with some of my own personal history and trauma.
Plus, she writes realistic and believable women loving women sex scenes infused with emotion that last longer than half a paragraph. That in itself is a skill.
Should you read this book? Only if you wanna. Will it make you cry like a little bitch? Possibly. But it's well worth it.

AaaahH!! Okay so I thought I really enjoyed/loved the first book in this series, but this one just took my heart. I loved it so much. I have completely fallen in love with Fallon and Riley. The rest of the ensemble cast of this book are so wonderful too and add such humor and heart to an already endearing main couple, with one thorn though, which is one Olivia Nolan. Toward the end of the book, something she did, made me seriously want to reach through the pages and punch her in the face. But wow did Riley step up and tell her exactly what needed to be said in the perfect Riley fashion. Fallon and Riley are so adorable I can't even take it. I am desperate for the next installment!! I need more of these books in my life!!

Second in the series. If you enjoyed the first book, definitely read this one.

I've been in a bit of reading funk - picking up a book, reading a chapter and moving on to another one, reading a chapter and moving on again. These books were light enough and well written enough to pull me out of it. I'm not sure if I was in "power read" mode, but I found I blew through this book really fast - I didn't check the page count, but it seemed short.

This book focuses more on the two MCs and their relationship and the author is setting up one of the secondary characters to be front and centre in the next one. There's more angst in this one - not a lot, but more than the first as there's a villian who may want to destroy the MCs' relationship (damned exes) and some of the backstory between characters is filled in.

For some reason, when I've been reading these books, I've been reminded of Jericho. Something about the two MC and their banter perhaps.
