It got better at the end. But it’s a no for me.

I LOVED this book. Cannot wait to read the whole series I already know I’m going to fly through it

I went into A Court of Thorns and Roses expecting something shallow and overly focused on romance, but I was pleasantly surprised. The high fantasy storyline has its fair share of interesting moments and manages to be both engaging and satisfying.

While character growth is somewhat predictable, it’s well-suited to the story being told. What truly stands out is the descriptive writing. Moments like shimmering settings, small but meaningful conversations, and the unfolding relationships bring the world to life in a vivid way.

The story balances empowerment, vulnerability, and outright oppression in its narrative, offering an enjoyable blend of fantasy, romance, and action. A Court of Thorns and Roses doesn’t try to be something it’s not, and that’s its charm. It’s an accessible, fun, and immersive read that delivers exactly what it promises - no wonder so many people enjoy it!

4.75☆ - Came into this with a decent bit of spoilers already so I sort of knew what to expect regarding some plot twists (especially concerning the second book). What I did not expect is how much of a heavy fantasy plot this had rather than romance, which is what I was expecting from everything I had heard, especially when it comes to spice (I was expecting it to be like every other chapter but I was pleasantly surprised it definitely wasn't). Definitely read at least book one and two together, it will totally warp everything you were expecting.

This book was 10/10 I loved it but it did have a slow start in my opinion.

Ok where to begin! For my vampire diaries lovers this is giving Stephen and Damon. I cant help but imagine Rhys as Damon, you know that man going to be trouble, he’s an ass but there just something about him.
However, the TENSION building in the whole book between Feyre and Tam is everything and I wanted moreee detailssss. Especially when he took her into the room under the mountain and Rhysand rudely interrupts like go away hahah.

I will admit it was a slow Start but I was enjoying her living in a magical place like having a lord at her BECK AND CALL, like girl you have the dream. I get why she wanted to go home so wasn’t too annoyed at that but your living with sexy man faeries
