Somehow Sacks makes a trip to Mexico to view ferns into something interesting and readable. I really enjoyed this short read.

I got this because I was interested in Oaxaca, not ferns. But he is such a good writer that I really enjoyed it. Too short and simple for a higher rating.

I found it useful to keep a laptop or smartphone nearby so that I could look up the plants mentioned in this book, being almost wholly unfamiliar with ferns. Not that it is needed to enjoy the book, but I like a visual when something is being treated with such excitement and wonder.
