I like the idea of the protagonist becoming "the prophesied dark one" rather than the hero, but the rest of the story was just cryptic. Everyone spoke in platitudes about light vs dark without any real substance to the story. It looked cool though.

I've long been intrigued by the idea of this that Sanderson has talked about, in making the Dark One. I'm sad to feel it didn't work out.
My biggest gripe is probably the lack of buildup, and a fantasy world that can't seem to descide just how generic or not it should be.
