Obviously by the five stars rating this is the best issue so far!
Even the essay in the end was amazing i loved it, and the best essay so far as well It's personal it's intimate and we made a connection there.
How old is Penny Rolle now that is what i really want to know!
I was surprised by the 22 or 28 years old when they imprisoned her.
Because she looked older not because she was big, the girl from Precious 2009 the movie was big but she was cute it was apparent that she was young.
Anyway way this was perfect as can be i loved it thank you ❤️

Loved this first "special third" Penny Rolle backstory. Loved Richard Wilson IV's guest art. Loved the "Hey Kids, Patriarchy!" section. LOVED IT

"i think that you can love your weirdest, ugliest self more deeply than you're supposedly allowed to, and demand that others either love her or fuck off. and i think that whatever you might lose by refusing to confirm will always be less than the pieces of yourself you lose by pretending to be the woman you are not."

Penny's back story was great, warming up to this series now.

I think Penny Rolle might be my favorite character ever. In anything.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it." I can't decide what I loved more, this issue or the back matter essay? More of this series now please! Why isn't everyone reading this?

Initial thoughts review: so many powerful points in this issue! Some of my favorites- "if it ain't broke, don't fix it," and the essay in the back explaining how women live in a world of "ifs" driven by a patriarchal society. This issue brought up a lot of thoughts and emotions that I try and stifle, and helped me to articulate some anger I have. Really want to share my copies of Bitch Planet with everyone I know, but I also really want to keep them private so I can annotate them... Might end up buying a second set so I can have bob options available. LOVE BITCH PLANET!
