Sometimes you just need mindless stuff when you're too tired to concentrate.

This book was fine. I didn’t hate it. I found the characters were a little flat. It was a quick read. Some Christmas atmosphere. There is an anti like people who work for hedge funds underlying theme.

Christmas at the Restaurant (The Nantucket Restaurant series Book 2) by Pamela M. Kelley
About the author starts this book and how to contact her.
Nantucket at Christmas. Love hearing of the stroll.
Family inherited the restaurant with understanding they all had to work at it for a full year. After that others left the island but make visits still while others stayed on.
Work is going great with more being served. The stroll brings out a special menu along with wine from a nearby location combining efforts to serve the bigger crowds.
Love hearing about the the celebrations, even the small ones that pack a punch. So many fun times and things anybody can do during the season.
Food sounds so delicious wish the book had a recipe or two. Lots of family get togethers and bonding with workers. Enjoy the tour of the island and sites. Grew up on an island and
remember when Santa would arrive on the police boat, very similar to this story. So memorable.
Especially love the Christmas angel, one who hears of other misfortunes and magically within days the problem is solved, usually due to one who donated money or goods to the unfortunate ones.
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

FW 17. I have been searching for the first book in the series The Restaurant. Still can’t find it. But the library offered me the second book, sure why not? I kept waiting for the storyline to develop which never did. I was also waiting for the food at the restaurant to become part of the story or to be transported to a magical Christmas town. None of these things ever happened. The writing again seemed choppy and she has a tendency to explain the obvious, for example “I put the address in the GPS”. I may give up on trying to find The Restaurant and this author. Quick read.

It was ok, but I felt like I was reading a diary with a play-by-play rather than a novel with a developed storyline.

Summary & Thoughts: A Christmas Hallmark Romance set on Nantucket. Three sisters and a friend at different stages of romantic relationships all make strides towards happily ever after.
Short and fast second book in the series about the three sisters. There is not much of a plot and lacks any suspense but was ok as an audio book while on the couch and symptoms force my eyes closed.

Topic & Language Considerations: clean hallmark style romance story

Wanted more details! A key event happened in between book 1 & book 2. Would love to have had that included.
