An urban fantasy set in Malaysian and using the myths and legends of Malaysia, which is pretty great, right? Unfortunately, Jess, as a character takes a long time to come into her own and spends a lot of time hemming and hawing, which was annoying. I enjoyed it but often found that I lost the thread of the plot. I really enjoyed the ending and felt like at last Jess was finding her own way.

Wow. Free my girl Jessamyn. All she wanted was to find a job, maintain a long distance relationship with her girlfriend, and keep her old school family from figuring out she is a lesbian. INSTEAD she is fighting demons, LITERALLY, while trying to get the ghost of her Ah Ma to LEAVE HER ALONE pass on peacefully!
