A sweet little story with delightful illustrations. Aaron and Mia both really enjoyed this book. Another one for the "go buy it" list, perhaps.
Harry is a beloved story I've enjoyed from childhood through adulthood, and I've taken great delight in sharing it with my children over the years.
Harry doesn't want a bath, so he runs off to get dirtier. The concept is very charming and sweet. Readers will enjoy seeing what Harry chooses to do with his time besides take a bath. I found it a little odd that his family didn't recognize him, but that's just a small plot hole overall.
For: dog lovers; readers who need a book on the benefits of taking baths.
Possible red flags: sadness and despair--Harry's family doesn't recognize him when he comes home.

Harry is a bratty dog that gets lonely and does the right thing. But really Harry acts so lovable it would be hard not to forgive him - especially since somehow he didn't make the house dirty. Unfancy but quite good enough art - the scenes are certainly a bit dated but not in a way that detracts from the story.
