3.25- philosophy books can be hard to read and this book was no exception. Based on the theory that life’s hardships are inescapable and therefore we must embrace them as tools for learning. I found the first chapter - on disability- the most enticing. The author suffers from chronic pain and writes both as a philosopher and as someone with lived experience. The rest of the book was a little more abstract and hard to wrap my brain around. Overall an interesting concept with slightly opaque execution.
