I didn't make it too far but I just don't think this book is for me.  I have suffered depression twice and honestly it's not fun for me to read about. Also I couldn't get over that her two big failures were Olympics and about to be signed by label rock band.  I like my contemporary books to be somewhat realistic and relatable and that's not it.

This book. This book left me feeling hopeful and full of possibility. I would love for anyone who is doubting themselves or feeling they are not enough to find their hands wrapped around this book. I know I will carry it with me for a long time. “It’s not what you look at that matters. It’s what you see.”

i felt that the midnight library had a great concept that could have be taken further but also felt repetitive at times. i’ve read matt haig’s the humans before and part of the reason i may have not liked this book as much is my comparing the two. overall i felt that the story had a good message but left more to be desired with it’s depth.
