The stakes are thrillingly high in this ultimate game of cat and mouse. As a journalist seeks out her prey, little does she know, that she's the one being hunted.

Therese Hunt takes psychopath to a whole other level: leader of an organ trafficking ring, she'll stop at nothing to safe guard her enterprise - the more blood spilt the better.

It comes as no surprise then, when journalist extraordinaire Madison Ford starts sniffing around Therese's operation, that there's bound to be trouble on the horizon. Unaware of exactly how ferocious of a bear she's poking, Madison continues with her other journalistic endeavours - including an interview with hot shot actress and advocate for a human trafficking NGO, Elodie Fontaine. Used to sleeping with whomever she pleases, Elodie begins to realise that maybe this time might be different and as Madison insists on being just friends, she has her work cut out for her.

As things begin to heat up between Madison and Elodie (and oh, does Nyx break the thermometer), there's a different type of heat building in Therese's veins - that of boiling blood. Out to protect her empire, she'll cross lines others wouldn't, leaving Elodie with no choice but to re-visit a past she'd long since thought laid to rest. But with Therese on the rampage, Elodie will do anything to save the woman she loves. The only question is, will it be enough?

Unashamedly, Nyx is one of my all-time favourite authors; she writes across the genres that i love and never fails to feature an array of strong, yet flawed women in her stories - Let Love Be Enough, is no different. Whilst the story is suspenseful and thrilling in all the right places, Nyx never forgets the romance and more importantly her character's development. Add this to Nyx's aptitude to delving into the gritty side of humanity and you've the most sublime story waiting to be read.

Nyx's words and stories are the literary equivalent of a 4DX movie. When you pick up one of her books, you know you aren't going to sit back, relax and just read. Instead, you'll find yourself on the edge of your seat, clinging on through every twist and turn, before landing back in the real world with a satisfying thump, adrenaline pumping and wide-eyed. But that's the beauty of a great author, of stories exactly like Let Love Be Enough; which really isn't a story but an alternative reality, expertly crafted for readers to submerge their every sense into.

If you loved Nyx's recent release Dead Pretty, be sure to make time to read Let Love Be Enough, you won't be disappointed. This story may be a walk on the dark side of life, but it's also a story of so, so, much more.

I received an ARC of this book for review from Butterworth Books, in exchange for an honest review.

Might pick it up some day, was in the mood for sapphic serial killers vibes and no longer in the mood.
There was some weird transphobia I’m just not feeling like reading, might pick it back up when I’m in the mood. Just weird transphobia vibes in the beginning put me off
