I know this was originally written in the late 1930s, but the repeated mention of God took away from this greek myth. I’m sure the author wanted to create a more modern interpretation, but it made it boring! Also weird how God (or Him) was mixed in with the gods & Zeus?? Anyway, Cassandra carried the play and honestly if my husband killed our child I’d kill him too.

Not my favorite classic drama out there but it certainly is a fascinating read, especially when reading the lines of the melancholy Kassandra.

Aeschylus wrote one of the earliest known tales of mob mentality and that alone is why I would say it is worth the read.
