I've read a few polemical works before this one, and all of them have been done poorly. Costi's title here, however, is the exception. He begins by giving his testimony of growing up as a Hinn. He then recounts his involvement in the Benny Hinn ministry, as well as his father's ministry. He marries a girl that isn't a good fit for the family, and through various events, he is eventually converted to Christ. The latter chapters of the book focus on the dangers of the prosperity gospel, a Biblical perspective of health and wealth, and tips on how to reach someone who is snared in this counterfeit religion.
Costi is very respectful for his family, while at the same time being very candid about the false theology they promote. This book provides good insights not only to the Hinn family ministry, but also gives helps to anyone who is emerging from the prosperity gospel to the true Biblical gospel. I recommend it highly.

Incredibly honest and eye-opening book that every Christian should read. Thank you to Costi Hinn for boldly telling your story and defending the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

An important look inside the “ministry” of one of the most famous prosperity teachers in the world- and the transformation one family member goes through to realize what the real gospel is.

Sooo interesting to read a little about the (Benny) Hinn family, how the Lord brought Costi out and set him on the solid Rock. Very accessible writing style. Loved the tips at the end for sharing the gospel.

A great read to help you dig deeper into why we believe what we believe, and why we should steer clear of certain false doctrines.

An incredible testimony well-told with candid, insightful, biblical commentary and critique of the prosperity gospel (and celebration of the real gospel) throughout.

(full disclosure: the literary agency I work for represents Costi)
