I knew from the first page that I wasn’t going to like this book but I was given a nice hardback copy and it is relatively short so I thought I’d give it a try. It was weird the whole time. I generally dislike books with talking animals. I don’t understand how you come up with a story like this unless under the influence of drugs. It was just so random. Dave Eggers has quite a diverse writing style. I LOVED Zeitoun and hated this. I am pretty sure I am not the target audience for this book.
