I seem to be an outlier but I found this to be okay. The plot isn’t all that exciting. The illustrations are beautiful.

I had never heard of this book before having to search for Newbery Medal winners for one of my classes, but I am SO glad that I found it. this was just such a wonderful, fun, unique, and meaningful read. I can see myself even rereading it in the future or introducing it to my future kids/students. 10/10, five stars, all that.
