Okay, first of all, just… wow! I’ve slowly been making my way through the Merciless world and Willow has done it again! I loved everything about this book. It’s dark, it’s sexy. It’s everything I’ve come to love from a Willow Winters book. I’ve been so interested in getting Declan’s story since I read Merciless, and I was not disappointed. I really liked Braelynn as a heroine, as well. All I can really say is that you best believe I will be preordering the sequel.

This was intense! Braelynn needed a job. Being a waitress at a club should be no big deal right? Especially since the boss is someone from her past. Oh but boss is not your average man. His family is powerful, and the club is not a regular club. Being the boss’s assistant isn’t doing paperwork either. Braelynn unknowingly entered a world that is harsh, and there is never second chances if you cross them. Willow knows how to hook the readers with her storylines. The twists, the cliffhangers, she is amazing and I can’t wait to read more from her!
Willow came through with the steam! This is the return of the Cross brothers from the Merciless series. This book focuses on Declan and Brealynn. Braelynn and Declan have a past relationship. When Brae ends up getting referred for a new job at “The Club” by her best friend. Declan just happens to own that club and when they see each other sparks fly!
The problem is.. there’s a rat and Declan is determined to find them.
This book is steamy and face paced in typical Willow Winters fashion. The story takes off right away hitting you with all the important facts but leaves you craving more information. I wanted a deep dive into Brea and Declan’s relationship. He is ruthless but he’s going soft for her which is just delicious.
Braelynn is kind of annoying if I’m being honest. Her deer in headlights attitude is confusing. She knows he’s a mafia guy but then she’s surprised that he kills people? Mija this is gangster 101.
I like my heroines to be strong and sassy. I love when they show their vulnerable side to their big alpha men too. However, Braelynn wasn’t any of that. It annoyed me that she said “I don’t know” so many times .
Overall, enjoyable read. I was happy to dive back into that world. It’s been a while since I read the Merciless series so it was nice to have the family together again. There is a cliffhanger so beware! But otherwise? If you’re a fan of Willow Winters I’m sure you’ll enjoy this book .

O plot é fraco e o início do livro é completamente aleatório com uma random sex scene que a meu ver não era ali precisa. Metade do tempo estava a pensar ‘wtf’ e outra metade ‘porque é que estou a ler isto’.
Pelo menos foi de graça no kindle portanto o arrependimento não foi tanto. O final do livro foi completamente inesperado e deixou me literalmente de boca aberta, mas não acho que valha o gasto para comprar a continuação da saga.

Oh my gosh, this book is full of twists and turns I wasn't expecting. The spice factor is incredibly high and the characters are phenomenal.
If you like BDSM, or dominate men, this is a must read.
