4 stars - It was really good

This was a very interesting volume because the Falling Devil/ Trauma Devil was a very interesting devil. I really liked her design and how she basically was holding her head the whole time. The fight against this devil was intense because she uses your trauma to defeat you and cause you to fly into her trap where she turns you into a meal. Asa falls prey to her with her fears and her past trauma and Denji suffers briefly but eventually rallies.

It was surprising when Denji became the voice of reason and the one to talk a suicidal Asa down, but it also didn’t surprise me because while he may be dumb he also cares in his own way. His speech was very moving but also amusing.

Asa surprised me in this one because she continues to defy Yoru and doesn’t try to kill Chainsaw Man, instead she actively helps him. This volume ends with the Falling/Trauma Devil being defeated but Denji and Nayuta apprehended and threatened.

TW: death of a pet; gore; violence; death;
