Enjoyable and heartwarming. Also, super quick pace and almost infantile syntax, so you'll be done before you know it. A good read for anyone who's bored or doesn't have much time.

Five teens meet as strangers.
Five different personalities.
Five lives taking you to a journey of their four years in high school.

I don't really mind books with multiple perspectives. It's just challenging to keep up with their stories because I can't connect with them. The premise is great and easy to read but nothing much happens to keep me interested.

As for the characters, I do appreciate the diversity. Out of the five teenagers, Jake -- the boy who has a crush on his best friend, Ted and Zoe-- the daughter of an alcoholic actress but they don't have a close relationship pushed me to keep me going. These two stood out for me but more on Jake. Gregor and Mia are both okay. Their characters fell flat to me. Whitney is my least favorite. She is a popular girl and dating from one guy to another but I like she knows her limitations of not going all the way with guys. For her, love should be in it. (If you know what I mean)

Overall, it's an okay story. It just doesn't really stick to me.

i actually can't remember if i DNF'd this one or not so that can't be a good sign. I do remember thinking it was confusing and kind of boring and kind of forceful in it's representation.

This was an enjoyable read, but of course, I wanted more from each of the character's stories. The short chapters and big lapses in time left me wanting more. That being said, you got just enough to fill in the blanks. Zoe and Whitney were the stars for me, but I'm sure other readers would feel differently about that. Overall, this book would appeal to readers who enjoy Siobhan Vivian (especially if you liked The List) and Jenny Han.

Mackler deftly weaves a multi-perspective novel of five high school students and the events that make them who they are. Diverse, detailed, and brutally honest, Mackler's characters feel more relatable than almost any other fictional characters I've ever read. Her use of sexual lingo, profanity, and cultural references present as genuine circumstances that solidify the authenticity of the young adults she follows. Touching on love, loss, sex, toxic friendships, and difficult families, Mackler doesn't shy away from tough topics, handling each scenario with care and sensitivity. Infinite in Between is a must read.

Trying to write for five different stories is hard... I think this book did a really good job at it, though. As soon as I started reading, I wondered how she would create five stories over the course of four years, especially with the way freshman year was going (she had been depicting each month for them), and then I realized she didn't need to do all that. Some months that were exciting for others were bland for others. Other than that, I'm satisfied with where the story went. However, I would've also been more satisfied had I stayed with each character since the beginning. A lot of the ending felt rushed; some of those issues are definitely not as mendable as we think.

DNF

I DNFed it around 2/3 of the way through. I like the concept and it was pleasant to read, but I just stopped caring enough to finish it. It definitely wasn't bad, though! Probably a 3.5 star book, but I rounded down for the rating.

I'm not sure if this is really my kind of book or not--but it was impossible to put down. I liked the characters and how they felt like real people. But I think it was just a tad too dramatic for my taste.

Rating: 4.75

I really enjoyed this one. Probably one of my favorite contemporaries. I really connected with the characters and they felt so alive in my head. I could picture everything so well. I really became invested in these characters lives, and I'm said it had to end. If you're looking for a good book with not much drama this is the perfect one
