The Fault in Our Stars

Read this book at it’s prime time and liked it at the time but afterwards began to hate it because of the hype and also it made my cry in a very ugly way and I think john green takes joy in making teens cry in a mean way (very unnecessary)

This book challenged my friendship with the Twihards but I loved it

Words really can't express how much I loved this book. Yes, it was horribly sad and heart-wrenching, but the writing was brilliant and beautiful. I laughed, I cried (oh man, did i cry!), and I loved every minute of it. It was one of those books that you have a hard time putting down. What an amazing read and an incredibly touching story. It will stick with me for a very long time.

I finally managed to read The Fault in Our Stars which I'm super happy about. I finally understand the hype for the book, it was a great contemporary and makes you think about how we live our life and if we are actually living it to the fullest. I loved Hazel's and Gus's relationship, they are so cute!!!

However the only criticism I would say about this book is that Hazel and Gus are only 17-16 so you would expect their speech to be casual however they are very formal and it sounds like they are speaking about philosophy. They speak like they are ancient which made it a bit hard for me to read some of their dialogue. This upset me as it is the reason this book gets a 4 star not 5 as I couldn't connect to the characters as much as I wanted to.

I'm busy sobbing to write a review!
