I fully realized this book would break my heart when I read it, but I was unprepared for the absolute mind-battering rollercoaster of feeling I would be subjected to.
As a mother, there are books I tend to avoid. Children who die books are at the top of the list. Yes, I know it happens. Yes, I have endless amounts of sympathy for the parents to whom it happens. But I can't go around living my life worrying what will happen to my babies. So I choose to be in denial.
I am so thankful I lifted the ban for this book. Even though I'm not a fan of the Romeo and Juliet stories, this is one that was told to utter perfection. It is heartbreaking and soul bashing in the best way. I laughed out loud during some parts and cried my heart out during others.
This is a book that changed my perspective on death and dying and did it in the best non-whiny, totally understandable way. The two MCs were so great, just so amazing.
If you can handle all the death and the frank talk of it, you should definitely read this book.

I have consistently said this is my favored book, not because it is especially well written or something like that, but it is from this book that I learned that reading could mean a lovely time. The story is wonderful- as my teenage old self surely can attest.
اگه بخوام به مقدار گريه اى كه سر اين كتاب كردم ستاره بدم، حتما ٥ رو ميگيره. اما اگه بخوام واقع بين باشم و به خود كتاب ستاره بدم و اينو در نظر بگيرم كه من با "هر كتابى" ميتونم گريه كنم، بيشتر از ٣ نميتونم بهش بدم.

This book is one of my favorites. The characters are wonderful. This book made me cry for about an hour straight. I recommend this to everyone when they are old enough. Amazing book. Just AMAZING.

I seriously don't know what to say about this book. (Well, maybe I have some things to say because I have to write this review.) It was beautifully written by the wonderful John Green. His writing style is superb and can bring you to tears. Although I got emotionally attached to this book, I didn't sob, but I did tear up. The characters were awesome.I loved Hazel and Augustus. I also liked Isaac, not because he and I share the same name, but because he was a typical, funny guy in a book that you come to love.
There were many inspiring quotes that you can benefit from. You don't come to love and appreciate this book because of the romance, but because of the lessons you learn while reading this book.
This book gets a five out of five stars from me. Bravo John Green.
