Breaks my heart every time

i have never bawled at a book like i did for this one. i felt dehydrated after. john green is my number one opp.

Perhaps not for everyone but I loved this book despite the brutal subject matter. An honest don't pity me perspective of dying from cancer and observing the world. It's brutal, heartfelt, sad and joyous?

The author is able to write in a female voice and really nails it. The writing is as natural as Cory Doctorow, and you can vividly see everything. Not surprisingly this is coming out as a movie soon...read the book!

Excellent writing. I didn't think it was as perfect as a lot of readers told me, but it was still very good. Excellent love story, excellent cancer story, but I was still a little disappointed somehow. Perhaps there was just too much build-up from other readers.

I think in every book review for this book has the saying SOOOOOO SAD!!! Sure it was sad, but I did not cry like a lot of people. This is a really emotional book that I quote a lot (a lot of other people do this too). I always like to see what it feels like to be in someone else's shoes when their lives are so different from yours. From being healthy to having cancer is a drastic change. I have always wondered what it would be like to see through other peoples eyes and feel their emotions. This is dramatic and I live for dramatic so it made it even more to enjoy :P. I like how some books really express their feelings and this is one of them, it feels like I know what she has been through because John Green express so well but I don't actually know how she feels.

I almost gave this book 4 stars because by the end I actually really liked it, but I was a little annoyed at the beginning. It was a good traveling read that kept me engaged...I finished it in one day. I liked the look into cancer from a teenage point of view even if the writing wasn't always the best. The main character was likable in a believable way.

5 amazing stars that will forever be in my heart (which is now broken I was hesitant to read this because of all the hype but I picked it up yesterday at 10:00 AM and was so captivated that I couldn't put it down (except to eat and drink and...) until I finished it at 11:58 PM!
It was an amazing roller coaster(that only goes up {Just kidding}) of a story and I know I'll be
re-reading this soon!

Have a great day and keep reading!

Never have I cried so much on the subway. :) I love the characters & the sarcasm & the real pain endured by Hazel & Gus. Sad that it ended....that kinda good.
