Friends > Lovers
Billionaire
He falls first

This was my least favourite out of the 3 books.   I am realising that I am much more an enemies to lovers than a friends to lovers kind of girl.

********************************************************
Breaker is the youngest of the Cane Brothers and has known Lia since college.  They have been best friends ever since.  When Lia gets engaged, they both start to question their feelings for each other before finally realising what everyone else has known forever, that they are totally in love with, and cannot live without each other.
********************************************************

I found the first 3 quarters of this book harder to get through that the other 2 in the series.  I think I was missing the banter between them that was much more present in the other books that were enemies to lovers.  Them being friends and just constantly denying that they felt anything for each other just started grating.  "Because it's Brian. The guy makes her happy, but he doesn't get her. He doesn't know Lia like I do."  How can they not know that they love each other. They are so co-dependent, spend almost every waking hour together and can't live without each other.  Everyone can see it but them.   "Oh shit, you finally realized you love her. And then my face falls flat. "I'm going to fucking kick you in the dick with that shit, It has nothing to do with my platonic feelings toward her. Got it?"  I just wanted to bang their heads together.

I loved having Huxley & Lottie and JP & Lottie in the books and getting some insight into their married lives.  The banter I was missing between Lia and Breaker, I did get from the brothers.

Parts of their relationship was cute,  Breaker is sooo sweet and sexy and has a dirty dirty mouth, and the spicy scenes were spicing 🥵

Lia was the one I found hardest to like.  Hated how she brushed off breakers feelings that their friendship had prevented him finding anyone else.  As he always had her.  They were in a relationship in every aspect other then sex.  And she sulked at him rather than seeing how that may have been possible.  The emotional manipulation of her asking to sleep in his bed, in his shirt, because she was lonely just made me dislike her more.  "No way can I let the woman I love sleep in my bed while she belongs to another man"  Breaker at least could see the issue here, but was too scared of pushing her away to tell her no.

The last part of the book, where they finally got together and had lots of hot sex felt like a throw back to the other two books and I enjoyed this much more.  This last part pushed this to a 4☆
