I found this book was well written but I read it very slowly, it was not a book that i couldnt put down. It didnt enthrall me likes other but i really enjoyed it and how it played out.

I loved Wicked Lovely. I remember really liking Ink Exchange, though once I cracked into Fragile Eternity, I realized I didn't remember a single thing about it. Still, I remember liking it, so that should count for something, right?

But I also remember what I didn't really like about WL and IE, and that's Ash. The dislike finally crosses over into me making throttling motions towards a book, wishing I could slap some sense into the new Summer Queen.

I can handle the fact that the universe seems to revolve around Ash. It's your standard operating procedure in these matters. Everyone loves, or at least likes her. Only... she's really unlikeable this go round, and things seem to be timed off just so that Ash and Keenan will be pushed together faster. Yet, I wonder if it wouldn't have worked out better to have Donia stab Ash after Seth left, because having her do so beforehand doesn't even seem to work for the characters as they're dealing with the fallout.

But mostly I lost my mind about the time Ash decided that six months was enough time to mourn Seth and attempt to hop into a relationship (or whatever she's calling it) with Keenan, despite having spent so much time previously trying to push him and Donia together. THAT is when you have the Winter Queen cut an annoyingly wishy-washy Summer Queen, not before.

The flipside to this rage is that the other characters are still fantastic. I was a little less "yay Donia!" but I like to think she was under the influence of War and that explains the crazies. Seth is pretty awesome, Niall makes just about every scene he's in better, and I'm hopeful for what comes next.

Synopsis
Seth continues to struggle with his girlfriend's new role as the Summer Queen. More importantly, he battles with her growing relationship with the Summer King. Can Seth find a way to be strong like Ash needs before it's too late?

Why Should You Read it?
Even if you haven't read the first two books, this one is a guilty pleasure. The relationships are realistic, the situations intense. The world of the Faeries that Marr has created is detailed and artistic. It's easy to get lost there.

What Can You Learn From the Author's Writing?
If you are learning the craft of writing pay attention to the way Marr pens romance. She may only be writing scenes of kissing or holding hands, but your heartbeat quickens and you feel their passion. She does a masterful job of writing romance in a way you can relate to.

I find the further I get into this series, the more I like it.

I loved the fact it was mainly about Seth this time. Keenan, Im still not liking much and I wish Ash would make her mind up once and for all but I hope its all sorted for book 4. Well worth the keeping going, lets hope book 4 doesnt disappoint.

This series is getting increasingly more painful to keep up with and the characters are getting harder to like.

Ash is just insufferable, I have no love or sympathy for her and tired of her near constant moaning about everything and her "Keenan is a good person" back and forth. Her whole personality is just the worst.

Keenan is a shitbag and hate how he treats Donia. Yet everyone is so lax with him as if he was a child and not an over 900 year old man. Might be one of my most hated characters of all time.

Can never get enough of Niall, he doesn't save the book as there's not loads of time with him but his chapters are certainly more enjoyable.

I like Donia but equally she's another that just takes Keenans shit even when she supposedly isn't. Like you'll stab Ash (relatable) but not Keenan? You find it hard to stand with Niall because you don't want to hurt Keenan???

Seth I'm on the fence about, not sure if I'm gonna love him post change.

The rest of the characters I just have no love for at all.

Also there's very little overarching plot besides war is kind of coming but it all depends on who Ask gets off? No I'm relatively there just isn't a plot at all for this book.

Worst in the series so far and wish I wasn't so stubborn as to feel the need to finish the series now but here we are.

All I have to say is that i'm happy about the closure of the events, everything is being set up in the great escheme of things and I just loved how the "side" characters arcs intercepted themselves.

I probably would’ve enjoyed this a lot more if I’d read it in high school back when it first came out. As an adult reading this…man, I’m so tired y’all. Lol

Y'all, I'm so done with Aislinn. Why does she keep falling for Keenan's crap? Why is she okay with what happened to her mom even though it's Keenan's fault? Why is she no longer independent or intelligent?? What happened to her determination? Like...really?

And Seth...bro, you're never this irrational, but O get where you're coming from. The only people that made sense were War, Niall, and the winter queen. And the summer girls! They were more interesting than the love square melodrama in some scenes!

At least there was conflict in this story. It was more interesting than the last book. The pacing is just so off we these books. Can't some of them be edited and combined?
