I vaguely remember watching Mary Poppins as a child. It’s funny how the older we grow, the lesser we tend to gravitate towards fantasy. I like rereading books from my childhood as they give me a fresh perspective. I notice things I didn’t before and in doing so, it helps me understand myself more. This is a book I would recommend kids to read as the language is quite delightful and so are the little adventures

Review - I did enjoy these books but not actually as much as the film or the stage musical - I felt that Mary Poppins was far too aloof in the book and I couldn't understand why Jane and Michael were so enamoured of her. Too much of the book also felt to be taken up with Mary Poppins looking at herself. It seemed unnecessary. However, it has the magic which was injected into the film and onto the stage, and every time something magical happens you want to jump into the book and join the fun!

Genre? - Teenage / Children's / Fantasy

It's a real eye opener. I feel like the stories showed a much different personality than what the original movie did. But isn't that the way it normally is? I recommend everyone to read it, it's not just a children's story, I think adults would appreciate the humor of this classic lady, Mary Poppins.

Loved every page of this book! This book is full of fun & frivolity while at the same time lots of old fashioned no nonsense discipline & sensibility :O)

Mary Poppins is rude and vain and pretty unpleasant, she belittles people and punishes people (especially gold digging women) in really harsh ways. I'm not sure why children would like her or want to be in her care.
At points the stories got repetitive between books. Also, the chapters are really long and as I was reading it aloud it just made bedtime take forever!
