Recently I've become addicted to Michael Connelly's detective Bosch which has been around for some time. I got introduced to the character through the Amazon Original series and have now gone through two of the audiobooks. On the TV series the characters are considerably different but that makes the books that much better. I enjoyed this one.

first bosch book, but was able to follow along easily. great characterization, quick pacing, hard to put down, scenes felt like a movie. interesting to have such an objectively flawed main character who acknowledges his own mistakes to a point, and suffers for them too.

I liked the change of pace in the Harry Bosh book, I also like the fact the Michael Connelly allows his characters to grow and change!

I was so disappointed - generally I enjoy the Harry Bosch books, but this was terrible. The story line was not interesting or exciting at all, just dragged on - with a lot of self-chastising from Harry.

A good one. I have a daughter of similar age. Fortunately her experience has been different, but it made it easy to connect. The story was sufficiently twisted and surprising.

I would have the misfortune of grabbing the first intriguing Bosch book by cover off the shelves at Half Price Books and having it be (likely) the darkest emotionally of the series. WHOOPS. I have a feeling I'll enjoy other Bosch books more, and while this was pretty solid all things considered, it wasn't really my cup of tea.
