i wasn’t a massive fan of this book, but i persevered as it was a book club read. overall it was a nice enough story/parable, and i do feel like the last 30 pages or so were really enjoyable, but i found it hard to get immersed in the world of the story.

This book was beautifully translated. I really enjoyed it immensely.

Though I began reading in December 2021, I wasn’t able to complete it until this year. I have been, off and on, struggling to focus and concentrate. When I was able to read, I started other books.

Today, I started this book from the beginning and read. It is a beautiful tale of not only the bees, but the ugliness of man and how religion can become a weapon in the hands of zealots.

Again, it was beautifully translated. Poetic in places and so I think that speaks to it being beautifully and poetically written.

I need to consult with a thesaurus because I overuse “I enjoyed this book immensely.” But, I did.

I do hope the bees learned the dance of the ardent swarm.

I enjoyed this book quite a bit. My only real issue with it is that it left a lot of loose ends just hanging out there that left me wondering "what become of 'X'?"
