Hm Hm hm

I get the anti-Harry Potter, or Harry Potter as written by Kafka, comparisons. There are a few anti-similarities, though this is told through the eyes of Hermione.

Urban psychological science fiction and fantasy. Oh my gosh golly jolly gumdrops. L’architetto dei sogni. This book was absolutely incredible. The beginning didn’t quite set the tone for me, but by page 30 I was interested and soon after was captivated. Some interactions were weird in translation, but considering so much of the book occurs in one person’s mind, the relationships felt authentic juxtaposed with the alien concepts dominating the text. My mind jumped and played with the ideas this book permitted. The song Planet by Sofiane Pamart represents a small amount of the thinking in this book for me. The very end did annoy me enough that I very nearly dropped my rating to four stars (it felt very low effort after everything but even this could have been remedied for me with some rewording), but the revelations and reactions directly preceding that were wonderful.

An incredibly engrossing novel. Sasha was a vivid character, and her development was fascinating. The magic is interesting, and this book barely scratches the surface. The writing was b. I cannot wait for book 2.

  • it was really interesting to see how a book without classical chapters changed my reading - I fell into a void, diving into the text, living the story and emerge a few hours later to notice time's passing

  • I also never felt more seen in my thought process and processing of the world - might be a little bit worrying that others see it as sci-fi XD

  • "she caught herself monotonously listening words - each one of them had a fraction of the meaning she needed so desperately, but not a single one of them fit her purpose."
