Totally adorable. Quick paced in the falling-in-love department, but sometimes we need that, don't we.

A very good, light hearted story you should read.

I just love the writing of Jill Shalvis! After reading her Animal series, I went out and purchased the first book in the Lucky Harbor series. Simply Irresistible was just that -- Irresistible!

I loved Jax and the whole town of Lucky Harbor. Plus who can go wrong for a rich and sexy man who is sweet at heart? Maddie and her sisters were also a fun group to read about. They each had their own personality and they were described as The Steel Magnolia, The Mouse, and The Wild One. Each description fit each character perfectly! I liked how Maddie -- The Mouse -- was trying to turn her life around. When the half sisters inherit the inn after their Mother dies, they realize it is going to take a lot of work and money to bring the inn back to its former glory. With secrets involved for the family members, secrets in Jax's past, and obstacles to overcome that are from each characters past, we get to see the journey unfold in a sweet story.

The only problem I had with this book was the constant wavering from Maddie. One minute she was happy to have Jax, then she would change her mind and not want him. I understand she had some issues to work out from a previous relationship, but the reason behind it was not believable. Even with that issue, I still can't wait to pick up a copy of the next book in the series. I want to learn more about Maddie's sisters and their adventure in Lucky Harbor.

Couldn't finish it. Sorry. Got 2 chapters in, cardboard stock characters and uninteresting romance.

Simply Irresistible was a pretty cute holiday romcom. Not exactly sure why I decided to jump into a Christmas book in March, but I'll go with it. Maybe it's because I got snow over the weekend. Or maybe it's because it worked for a challenge. The world will never know.

In this, you will meet Maddie and Jax. Now I really enjoyed their romance. Especially the steamy scenes. They had amazing chemistry and I couldn't help myself from shipping these two. If I could, I would totally steal Jax for myself. Unfortunately, I can't do that to Maddie. She deserves Jax after everything she went through.

Other than that, I just feel like things were tad bit predictable which honestly shouldn't surprise me anymore. Yet, it does, and I don't know why. Maybe I need to read a romcom book that will constantly surprise me.

Maddie is in need of some luck. Things aren’t going so well for Maddie. She dumped her loser boyfriend and her boss, the Scrooge decides to fire Maddie before holiday bonuses. Hopefully, Maddie will find some luck in Lucky Harbor. Her mother left her and her two half sisters, Chloe and Tara…Lucky Harbor Resort. Maddie thinks that fixing up the resort and re-opening it up for business is the perfect solution to her problems. First though, Maddie has to convince Tara and Chloe.

Jax Cullen sure noticed Maddie the first moment she landed in Lucky Harbor. Of course it would be hard not to when Maddie almost runs him off the road.

Maddie is in need of a carpenter to help fix up the resort. She hires Jax. Soon the sparks start flying between Jax and Maddie.

I thought this book was fun and light hearted. A good chick lit novel. I had a small problem with the book and I say minor because most of it was due to me. While I like reading romances every once in a while. This time this book didn’t really do anything for me. Don’t get me wrong I like romances and every one needs them once in a while but when they are just fuff and puff, they do help make the time pass. Though, I did think that Maddie and Jax were good together. They had some great chemistry. It was easy to see why…Jax is good looking and rides a motorcycle. Overall, Simple Irresistible is a quick weekend read.

I went into reading this, not sure what to expect but having low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. Not only is Jill Shalvis absolutely hilarious, but there is just enough romantic fluff to keep it sternly in the Romance section, but not overwhelmingly sappy and fluffy to make it difficult to wade through. If you're fan of Jennifer Cruise, but you want something with a bit more...sap, Jill Shalvis is now my go-to gal. I found the language quite a bit like Cruise's Welcome to Temptation, with less action and more romance. A perfect read, any time of year. Highly recc'd to anyone looking for a quick read. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
