I might have liked this book a lot more if it were divided up into chapters. Maybe it exists for the purpose of demonstrating that any book of considerable length needs to have some sort of subdivision in order for a person to be able to tell where the good stopping points are. Maybe it's just meant to be read in one sitting. Whatever the case is, I had a hard time getting through it because of the formatting. Otherwise, I think I might have enjoyed the content, even if it's mostly character portraits drawn out over the course of a day.

I did not expect to cry over this book, but there I am.
I found it a bit difficult to get into at first, as a result of the narration technique - the "stream of consciousness" which Woolf is known for, and the changing perspective.
HOWEVER, as soon as I got into the story, I loved it☹️ My heart ached for Rezia, who had given up everything she loved to go to England with Septimus, only to end up losing him as well.
I think Woolf portrayed really well the struggle to find meaning in life, and how we through encountering people at other stages of life can find meaning through each other.
